Collaborating with the worldrenowned architectural firm BIG, we were responsible for the landscape design and construction of the NOT A HOTEL project, situated in the beautiful location of the Seto Inland Sea. Distinguishing characteristic of this project is the rammed earth walls made from local soil. By using traditional techniques and incorporating them into modern design, these walls harmonize with the local landscape and contribute to sustainable architecture. The landscape design is based on a return to nature, featuring silver-leaf trees, grasses, olives, and citrus trees.
世界的に有名な建築設計事務所BIGとの共同ワークで、瀬戸内海の美しい立地に出来るNOT A HOTELのプロジェクトのランドスケープデザインと施工を担当いたしました。このプロジェクトの建築の特長の一つは、現地の土を用いたラムドアース壁です。ラムドアース壁は、現地の土を使用し、伝統的な技法を現代のデザインに取り入れることで、地域の風景との調和を図り、持続可能な建築の一部を実現しています。ランドスケープはシルバーリーフの樹木、グラス類、オリーブ、柑橘類で構成した自然回帰をベースにしたデザインにしました。
